Two weeks ago I started a little project online. I set up a free blog, I added free content to it, and I used free traffic generation methods. All in all, the entire project took me two hours to set up and didn't cost me a dime. Today, 14 days later, I have made $600 from that little side venture. I could teach literally anybody in the English-speaking world to replicate the same results in the same amount of time. I am sure that is your dream too. I will assume you want to earn a heck of a lot more than $600 - and you will - but I also assume that you want to be able to set up quick income streams, leave them to run on autopilot, and then check back in a week or two to see significant money in your account. If you are a newcomer to internet marketing, you need to realise a couple of things. Firstly, you could have the same results in the same period of time. You can make big money online in a very quick amount of time; don't let anybody tell you different. Secondly - and this is the 'but' - you need to learn precisely how it is done. When I started online marketing a few months ago, I remember reading a short report from a well-known marketer. That report didn't focus on any money-making techniques, and instead concentrated all its efforts on the application of correct human qualities. I recall scoffing at the report - I knew all this stuff and just wanted good, instructional techniques to apply immediately. Well, truth be told, I did not actually know all that stuff. And I had to learn that the hard way. If you want to be a success in internet marketing, you have to nail your psychology first. I know that sounds boring and unadventurous, but it truly is the difference between you making big money sooner rather than later. You need to be diligent: that means following through on the more laborious chores involved with internet marketing. You need to be disciplined: that means actually applying techniques you learn instead of surfing the web instead; ensure you make a daily plan for yourself, working the hours you said you would. You need to be focused: that means not letting the infamous learning curve get to you, not giving up, and being prepared to enforce the techniques you have picked up. Finally, and most importantly, you need to take consistent action. Find a plan or a technique, and continue to work it until it is successful. That is the only way you will ever be successful online. Don't be that individual who gets seduced by different methods which promise you the world - if you buy one instructional ebook, then take action on it until you have the results you want. This is how you acquire the all-round skills you need to make big dollars online. I am going to set up another income stream right now. I expect that it will earn me $1000 over the next three or four weeks, and it will cost me a tiny fraction of that to set up. If you want to be in that position, then keep the words you have just read in mind: focus, diligence, discipline, action. |
