His Holiness Shri Prabhu Ashrit Swamiji has combiled this book in Urdu in Nairobi in British East Africa in the year 1929-30. J.Krishna Choudry has translated this book into English.

Gayatri Rahasya means Secret of Gayatri. This is glorified as Mantra Rajam (King of Mantras) by ancient sages.

Anybody who recites Gayatri is being protected by the all powerful deity, Gayatri.

Mahatma Gandhi in his inaugural speech at the opening ceremony of the Tibbia College, Delhi, on the 23 rd February 1921, said that this therapy is altogether devoid of religious sentiment. The man who recites the Gayatri can not fall a prey to illness.

This book consists of thirty five chapters. The Psychic power of Gayatri, Gayatri, the saviour of the Fallen, Wonderful lights, Pure Wealth, The Soul of the Vedas, The Omnipotence of Gayatri, The Glory of Gayatri are some of the chapters in the book.

An interesting conversation between a Mahatama and a devotee explains the power of Gayatri. When the devotee wants some shortcut towards God realization, the Mahatama replies that reciting Gayatri will be the most suitable one for him. The recitation is a sovereign remedy for all the ills.

The Gayatri mantra consists of 24 syllables. The three feet of the Gayatri are made up of eight syllables each. 24 syllables are 24 divisions of knowledge.

The meaning of the mantra is as follows:
Om. We meditate on the adorable and ever pure effulgence of the resplendent Vivifier of the Universe. May THAT supreme Divine Being enlighten our Intellect.
